Job Summary:
The OHE Engineer / Senior Engineer is responsible for the design, planning, and execution support of overhead electrification systems for railway or metro projects. This role involves preparing detailed engineering designs, ensuring compliance with standards, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and efficient electrification solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Overhead Electrification (OHE) systems for Railway projects.
- Prepare layout plans, sectioning diagrams, wiring plans, and structure drawings.
- Perform calculations for:
- OHE tension and sag
- Mast and foundation loading
- Clearance and electrical safety
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., IRS, EN, IEC, or local Railway standards).
- Coordinate with civil, track, signalling, and power supply teams.
- Review and validate design drawings, BOQs, and technical documents.
- Support site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Conduct design reviews and resolve technical issues.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5–12 years of experience in OHE design (for Senior Engineer role).
- Experience in railway or metro electrification projects.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of OHE systems (25 kV AC traction preferred).
- Proficiency in design tools such as:
- AutoCAD / MicroStation
- OHE design software (e.g., Bentley Open Rail, CDEGS, or similar)
- Understanding of international and Indian railway standards.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with high-speed rail or metro projects.
- Familiarity with BIM and digital engineering tools.
- Project management and coordination experience.
Work Environment:
- Office-based design work with occasional site visits.
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Salary
₹5,00,000 – ₹7,00,000 per year (Based on experience)
