BOT VFX, a visual effects services company with global clients, is looking for a Freelance Matchmove/Rotomation Artist as a full-time Freelancing role. The position is based out of Chennai, Pune, and Hyderabad.

Performing 3D camera and body tracking for complex VFX sequences using industry-standard software.

Utilizing lidar, survey data, and photogrammetry models to achieve accurate camera matchmoving.

Reconstructing accurate 3D geometry based on multiple shots to support downstream departments.

Animating camera moves manually with logical motion when automated tracking is insufficient.

Managing lens grids and dynamic distortion to ensure precision in tracking and overscan requirements.

Collaborating with the project team to manage deadlines and ensure all technical specifications are met.

Communicating effectively with supervisors to address technical challenges during the tracking process.

Prior experience working on high-end VFX projects with a strong portfolio in matchmoving and tracking.

Proficiency in 3DEqualizer and Maya is a must; knowledge of Nuke is considered a strong advantage.

Strong understanding of 3D camera principles including lenses, distortion, and parallax.

Hands-on experience with lidar integration and photogrammetry for environment reconstruction.

Analytical problem-solving skills to troubleshoot difficult tracking scenarios.

Ability to work independently or within a team environment in an in-office setting.
