About the Role
Dehati Gramothan Vikas Samiti (DGVS) is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Professional Accountant to manage financial accounting, documentation, reporting, compliance, and financial monitoring related to DDU-GKY 2.0 Skill Development projects.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in accounting and financial management within the Skill Development / Training / Government-funded project sector and should be familiar with project-based accounting, utilization documentation, audits, and financial compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting and financial transactions related to DDU-GKY 2.0 projects.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts, ledgers, vouchers, bills, receipts and supporting documents.
- Handle project-wise accounting, expenditure tracking and financial reconciliation.
- Prepare periodic financial statements, expenditure statements and management reports.
- Monitor project budgets, expenses and fund utilization as per approved norms and guidelines.
- Maintain proper documentation for project expenditure, payments, advances and settlements.
- Coordinate with the project, training and administration teams for financial documentation.
- Prepare and maintain records required for fund utilization and project audits.
- Support internal, statutory and project-related audits and provide required financial documents.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts, cash, advances, vendor payments and project expenses.
- Verify bills, invoices, supporting documents and payment requests before processing.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, taxation requirements and organizational financial policies.
- Assist in preparation of UCs, financial reports and other project-related financial submissions, as applicable.
- Maintain proper records for trainees, training centres and other project-related financial activities wherever required.
- Coordinate with management and project teams to ensure financial transparency and timely reporting.
- Identify discrepancies, irregularities or documentation gaps and take corrective action.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all financial and project-related information.
Required Qualification
- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter / equivalent qualification in Finance & Accounts.
- Additional certification in Accounting, Finance, Tally, GST or related areas will be an advantage.
Essential Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Candidates with prior experience in Skill Development Projects, DDU-GKY, PMKVY, Government-funded training programmes, NSDC/SSC-related projects, NGOs implementing skill development programmes or similar projects will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of project-based accounting and financial documentation is essential.
- Experience in handling audit documentation, utilization-related records and financial reporting will be an added advantage.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Tally / accounting software and MS Excel.
- Good understanding of GST, TDS, income tax and statutory compliance.
- Ability to prepare financial statements, reconciliations and expenditure reports.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
- Ability to maintain systematic digital and physical documentation.
- Knowledge of government-funded project accounting and compliance will be highly preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates who have direct experience in accounting/finance for Skill Development projects, particularly DDU-GKY or similar government-funded skill development programmes, will be given preference.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
