Key Responsibilities:Student Health Care
- Provide first aid and immediate medical assistance to students and staff.
- Assess and manage illnesses, injuries, and health concerns during school hours.
- Maintain accurate health records for all students.
- Monitor students with chronic medical conditions and ensure appropriate care plans are followed.
- Administer prescribed medications as per school policies and parental authorization.
Health & Safety
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and coordinate with healthcare providers when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards across the campus.
- Conduct regular health screenings and maintain vaccination records.
- Monitor infection control measures and manage communicable disease reporting.
Parent & Staff Coordination
- Communicate with parents regarding student health concerns and incidents.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students with medical needs.
- Provide guidance to staff on health-related issues and emergency procedures.
Health Education
- Promote health awareness and wellness programs for students and staff.
- Conduct sessions on hygiene, nutrition, safety, and preventive healthcare.
- Support school initiatives related to physical and mental well-being.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain confidential medical records and health reports.
- Prepare incident reports and health-related documentation as required.
- Ensure compliance with local health regulations and school policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Nursing (GNM/B.Sc Nursing).
- Registered Nurse (RN) certification and valid nursing license.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a school, pediatric, or healthcare setting.
