Job Summary:
The Carpenter is responsible for performing skilled carpentry work to maintain, repair, and construct wooden structures and furniture across the college campus. This includes classrooms, offices, hostels, and other facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain furniture such as desks, chairs, tables, doors, and windows
- Install new wooden fixtures and fittings as required
- Carry out minor civil and carpentry work across campus buildings
- Inspect and fix damaged structures or fittings
- Work with tools like saws, drills, hammers, and measuring instruments
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
- Assist in general maintenance tasks when needed
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools
- ITI certification in Carpentry (preferred)
- 1–3 years of relevant work experience
- Physically fit and able to handle manual work
