Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tool Maker to join our Protekz team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for manufacturing, outsource follow-up, assembling, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing high-precision injection moulds and tooling components to ensure smooth production operations and high-quality output.
The candidate should possess strong expertise in mould construction, tool room machining, and precision measurement techniques, with the ability to independently handle complex tooling projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture, fit, assemble, and maintain plastic injection moulds and tooling components.
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD data, and technical specifications accurately.
- Perform tool maintenance, preventive maintenance, and breakdown repairs.
- Operate and supervise conventional and CNC tool room machines including milling, grinding, lathe, EDM, and wire-cut machines.
- Conduct polishing, fitting, spotting, and alignment of mould components.
- Ensure moulds meet dimensional and quality standards before production release.
- Coordinate with design, production, and quality teams for tooling improvements and modifications.
- Maintain proper records of tool history, maintenance schedules, and repair activities.
- Train and guide junior tool makers and apprentices.
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety and 5S practices in the tool room.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Technical Certification in Tool & Die Making or related field.
- 8–15 years of experience in plastic injection mould manufacturing and tool room operations.
- Strong knowledge of plastic injection mould structures and hot runner systems.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments such as vernier callipers, micrometres, height gauges, and dial indicators, bore gauge etc..
- Ability to read and understand 2D/3D drawings and mould designs.
- Hands-on experience with tool room machinery and maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of mould steels, heat treatment, and surface finishing processes.
- Troubleshoot mould-related production issues such as flash, short shots, mismatch, and dimensional defects.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automotive, packaging, medical, or consumer plastic moulds.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
- Problem-solving and root cause analysis capability.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently under production pressure.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
