Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer to oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental practices at our Hot Rolling Mill and Furnace Plant. The role involves ensuring statutory compliance, implementing HSE standards, conducting risk assessments, promoting environmental sustainability, and fostering a strong safety culture across the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and environmental assessments.
- Perform hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA).
- Monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and high-risk activities.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; implement corrective actions.
- Conduct HSE training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
- Coordinate emergency response plans, fire safety measures, and mock drills.
- Monitor waste management, pollution control, and environmental compliance.
- Manage contractor HSE compliance and safe work practices.
- Maintain HSE records, reports, and statutory documentation.
Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Engineering, Science, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Diploma in Industrial Safety or HSE Management.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, Fire & Safety, or equivalent certifications preferred.
Experience
- 10–15 years of experience in Steel Plants, Hot Rolling Mills, Furnace Plants, or Heavy Manufacturing Industries.
