Job description
Provides baked goods and prepped items by preparing menu items according to recipes and brand standards. Upholds the core values of the organization and its mission while consistently presenting and promoting brand integrity, product quality, and customer service standards.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Recipe Execution: Accurately prepare and execute all recipes according to established recipes and brand standards to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all prepared items maintain the highest standards of quality, flavor, and visual appeal.
- Food Safety & Cleanliness: Follow safe food handling practices at all times and maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Expiry & Freshness Checks: Regularly check expiry dates of all ingredients and prepared items to maintain food safety and quality.
- Equipment Handling: Operate and monitor kitchen equipment safely, including mixers and attachments, and sanitize equipment and work areas after use.
- Coordination with Kitchen Teams: Work closely with the senior chef and other kitchen sections to address product requirements, maintenance issues, and staff coordination.
- Hygiene & Safety Monitoring: Monitor hygiene practices, safety procedures, and proper storage of all food items throughout the kitchen.
- Leadership by Example: Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and personal hygiene to set a standard for the team.
- Teamwork & Inter-departmental Relations: Promote teamwork, efficiency, and maintain positive relationships across kitchen and other departments.
