Job Description
Position: Finance Manager
Experience Required: 5+ Years
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Benagluru onsite
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical, proactive, and commercially astute Finance Manager with a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), or business finance. In this role, you will bridge the gap between financial compliance and commercial strategy. You will own the corporate profit & loss (P&L) statement, oversee rigorous budgeting frameworks, and act as a critical strategic partner to functional leadership turning complex metrics into narrative-driven decision support.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Drive the annual enterprise budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes. Enhance existing forecasting frameworks, predictive tools, and governance models to ensure long-term scalability and accuracy.
- Performance Monitoring & Variance Analysis: Oversee the month-end close financial review process. Critically analyze actuals vs. forecast vs. budget, deliver robust variance analyses, and evaluate profit and loss management to isolate cost-saving opportunities.
- Strategic Financial Modeling: Develop, stress-test, and maintain complex financial models to support capital allocation, product pricing methodologies, ROI assessments, and long-term strategic investments.
- Cross-Functional Business Partnering: Serve as the primary finance partner to functional leaders (Operations, Tech, G&A). Provide actionable insights regarding headcount planning, resource optimization, and investment trade-offs.
- Executive Reporting & Presentations: Translate heavy financial datasets into clear, concise, and visually compelling executive dashboards. Present financial health updates, trends, and risk assessments directly to senior management and investors.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Partner with accounting and internal audit teams to ensure compliance with relevant tax structures, statutory accounting principles, and state/federal financial regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must-Haves:
- Experience: 5+ years of core corporate finance or FP&A experience, with a track record of progressive ownership (ideally transitioning from Senior Analyst to a managerial or team-lead role).
- Education / Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field. A professional certification (CA, ACCA, CIMA, or an MBA in Finance) is highly preferred.
- Advanced Analytics & Modeling: Exceptional proficiency in advanced financial modeling, Microsoft Excel, and enterprise FP&A software (e.g., NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, or Anaplan).
- Communication Skills: Superior capability to translate dense, technical financial jargon into clear, actionable strategies for non-finance business stakeholders.
- Leadership Mindset: A self-starter with immaculate attention to detail, a strong execution focus, and prior experience guiding or mentoring junior analysts.
Good to Have:
- Prior experience working with business intelligence and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Familiarity with advanced analytical tools such as SQL.
