About Us
Sterling Ventures UK Ltd is a growing UK-based wholesale import, distribution, e-commerce, and cash & carry business supplying catering, hospitality, retail, and food service sectors across the UK.
We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Credit Control & Finance Executive based in Delhi NCR to support our UK finance and operations team.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Control & Sales Ledger Management
- Manage and maintain customer sales ledger
- Ensure all invoices, credit notes, receipts, and allocations are updated accurately
- Chase overdue payments via:
- Email
- Phone
- Statements
- Payment follow-ups
- Monitor customer account balances and payment trends
- Resolve customer account queries and reconciliation issues
- Maintain accurate debtor records and reporting
Accounting & Finance Support
- Daily bookkeeping and transaction posting
- Bank reconciliations
- Supplier reconciliations
- Maintaining purchase ledger and sales ledger
- Posting invoices, payments, journals, and adjustments
- Assisting with month-end finance processes
Payroll & VAT
- Assist with payroll preparation and payroll records
- Support VAT return preparation and reconciliations
- Ensure financial records are maintained accurately for compliance purposes
Multi-Currency & Import/Export Exposure
- Handle and reconcile multi-currency transactions including:
- GBP
- USD
- EUR
- Monitor exchange differences and supplier/customer allocations
- Work closely with import/export documentation and overseas supplier payments
- Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in:
- Import/export businesses
- Wholesale/distribution companies
- International trading businesses
Software & Systems
Strong working experience required in:
- Xero
- Dext
- Microsoft Excel
- Cloud-based accounting systems
Reporting & Accuracy
- Ensure all financial records are updated and accurate
- Maintain organised digital records and documentation
- Produce reports relating to:
- Outstanding debtors
- Customer payments
- Ledger balances
- Reconciliations
Educational Requirements
- Minimum - Master’s degree in: Finance, Accounting, M.Com, Or equivalent finance/accounting qualification
Skills & Requirements
Mandatory
- Minimum 6 years’ practical finance/accounting experience
- Strong credit control experience
- Practical experience using Xero and Dext
- Good understanding of UK accounting processes
- Experience handling:
- Payroll
- VAT
- Sales ledger
- Bank reconciliations
- Multi-currency transactions
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Good English communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with UK businesses/accounts
- Import/export industry experience
- Multi-company accounting exposure
- E-commerce accounting exposure
- Understanding of wholesale/distribution businesses
