Position Summary
The Sales Team Lead is responsible for leading, mentoring, and managing a team of Field Sales Executives while driving sales growth across assigned territories. This role serves as the bridge between the Sales Head and the field sales team, ensuring that sales strategies are effectively implemented, targets are achieved, and the team operates efficiently.
The Sales Team Lead is expected to possess exceptional product knowledge, provide continuous coaching and training to the sales team, monitor field activities, and represent Herline professionally during client meetings, institutional presentations, and business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, supervise, motivate, and manage a team of Field Sales Executives.
- Allocate territories, assign targets, and monitor team performance.
- Conduct regular field visits with team members to provide guidance and coaching.
- Monitor daily sales activities and ensure discipline, productivity, and professionalism within the team.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review performance, address challenges, and communicate company updates.
- Foster a positive, performance-driven work environment.
Product Knowledge & Training
- Develop expert-level knowledge of the complete Herline product portfolio, including product features, benefits, pricing, usage, and competitive advantages.
- Train new and existing sales team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, objection handling, and customer engagement.
- Conduct refresher training sessions to ensure the team remains updated on new products, promotions, and company initiatives.
- Evaluate team members' product knowledge and recommend further training where required.
Sales & Business Development
- Support the team in achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Assist Field Sales Executives in closing high-value sales opportunities and institutional accounts.
- Identify new markets, business opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
- Build and maintain relationships with distributors, retailers, wholesalers, pharmacies, supermarkets, hospitals, educational institutions, corporate organizations, NGOs, and other key customers.
- Participate in direct sales activities whenever required.
Client Meetings & Brand Representation
- Attend meetings with clients, corporate organizations, institutions, distributors, and business partners on behalf of Herline.
- Deliver professional presentations showcasing Herline products and business opportunities.
- Represent the company at exhibitions, awareness campaigns, promotional events, trade fairs, and networking opportunities.
- Maintain a professional image while representing the Herline brand.
Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with the Sales Head to implement sales strategies and business plans.
- Provide regular updates on team performance, market conditions, customer feedback, and competitor activities.
- Coordinate with marketing, logistics, operations, and customer support teams to ensure smooth execution of sales activities.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, performance analyses, and forecasts.
- Ensure proper documentation of customer interactions, sales activities, and business opportunities.
Operational Responsibilities
- Monitor product availability within assigned territories and report stock-related concerns.
- Ensure promotional materials and branding assets are effectively utilized in the field.
- Resolve customer concerns and support the team in handling escalations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, reporting standards, and ethical sales practices.
- Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by the Sales Head or management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in field sales, FMCG, healthcare, pharmaceutical, personal care, or consumer products.
- Previous experience managing or supervising a sales team is highly preferred.

Pay: Up to ₹40,000.00 per month
