Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist specializing in Pediatrics with an emphasis on Speech Therapy and should be supporting other Multi-Disciplinary departments if required. The successful candidate will work closely with young patients, providing innovative therapy methods to improve their speech and language capabilities. You will play a vital role in implementing structured therapy sessions while documenting patient progress using our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Key Responsibilities:
Pediatric Speech Therapy:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children with Autism, speech and language delays or disorders.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans designed to enhance communication skills.
- Utilize a variety of therapy techniques to address articulation, fluency, expressive language, and receptive language challenges.
Patient Documentation & EMR Management:
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient history, assessments, ongoing progress, and therapy sessions in the EMR.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards through diligent record keeping.
- Regularly update therapy goals and strategies in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Collaboration & Parent Involvement:
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including pediatricians, special educators, and family members to ensure a comprehensive treatment approach.
- Educate and guide parents on effective communication strategies and home-based therapy techniques to support their child’s development.
- Organize regular case reviews and interdisciplinary meetings to optimize patient care.
Continuous Learning & Adaptation:
- Stay updated on the latest advances and methodologies in pediatric speech therapy.
- Attend workshops, seminars, and in-house training sessions to enhance skills and integrate innovative techniques into everyday practice.
- Be open to learning and implementing new therapeutic methods to improve treatment outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy (BOT) or Master’s in Occupational Therapy (MOT) or Relevant Working Experience in Occupational Therapy.
- Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in Telugu and English.
