Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Education and Guidance: Explaining diagnoses, treatment plans, surgical procedures, risks, and recovery expectations to patients and families.
- Emotional Support: Providing counseling for mental, emotional, or chronic health issues to reduce anxiety and stress.
- Coordination: Acting as a liaison between doctors, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless care.
- Operational Support: Assisting with financial counseling, insurance pre-authorization, and billing queries.
- Follow-up: Monitoring patient progress after discharge, managing complaints, and scheduling follow-up appointments.

- Provide emotional support and counselling to patients and their families throughout the treatment journey.
- Educate patients about their diagnosis, available treatment options, and post-treatment care.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure coordinated care.
- Assist in managing patient expectations and addressing their concerns or queries.
- Maintain patient confidentiality while handling medical records and personal information.
- Help patients access hospital services, financial aid, or external support systems if needed.
- Conduct follow-up sessions to monitor patient progress and mental well-being.
