Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on pallet plant machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in conveyors, saws, nailers, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Install, align, dismantle, and assemble mechanical equipment and components.
- Replace bearings, belts, chains, gears, shafts, seals, and other mechanical parts.
- Lubricate equipment and ensure proper maintenance schedules are followed.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability.
- Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and work orders.
- Coordinate with production and electrical maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and PPE requirements.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in the maintenance workshop and plant.
Required Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Fitter Trade.
- 3–7 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a pallet, wood processing, or manufacturing plant.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, and rotating equipment.
- Proficiency in fitting, alignment, and precision measurements.
- Ability to use maintenance tools and measuring instruments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of welding and fabrication is an advantage.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

- Machine uptime and availability.
- Preventive maintenance compliance.
- Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
- Breakdown frequency.
- Maintenance quality and repeat failure rate.
- Safety compliance and zero incidents.
- Spare parts usage and maintenance cost control.
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts as per production requirements.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
