Job Summary
The Quality Manager will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards across all stages of glass processing operations. The role involves ensuring compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality objectives while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & Control
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and procedures.
- Monitor quality standards throughout all production processes including:
- Glass Cutting
- Edge Processing
- Drilling & Notching
- Tempering
- DGU (Double Glazed Units)
- IGU (Insulated Glass Units)
- Laminated Glass Production (if applicable)
- Ensure all finished products comply with customer specifications and applicable standards.
Inspection & Testing
- Establish inspection procedures for incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Conduct quality audits and inspections at various production stages.
- Verify dimensional accuracy, optical quality, tempering quality, seal integrity, and overall product performance.
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of measuring and testing instruments.
Customer Quality Management
- Handle customer complaints and quality-related issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with customers regarding quality requirements and corrective actions.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and continuously improve quality performance.
Quality System Management
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality standards.
- Prepare and manage quality documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and records.
- Lead internal and external quality audits.
- Ensure compliance with BIS, ASTM, EN, and other relevant industry standards where applicable.
Process Improvement
- Analyze quality trends and identify areas for improvement.
- Reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
- Implement quality improvement projects and best practices.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Team Management
- Lead and develop the quality team including inspectors and quality engineers.
- Conduct training programs on quality standards and procedures.
- Monitor team performance and ensure accountability.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.
- Track and report quality KPIs.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Procurement, and Dispatch teams to ensure quality objectives are achieved.
- Support new product development and process validation activities.
