About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Engineer to join our Sales & Marketing team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in the sales of Process Instrumentation, Automation, Electrical, and Electronics products, along with excellent technical and customer relationship management skills.
The candidate should have a proven track record of driving business growth, providing technical solutions, and building long-term relationships with customers across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Activities
- Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle, including:
- Product selection
- Application engineering
- Product customization
- Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and cost estimates.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify business opportunities and stay updated with industry trends.
- Work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
Sales & Business Development
- Generate new business opportunities and expand the existing customer base.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
- Identify customer needs and offer value-driven technical solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, OEMs, EPC contractors, and channel partners.
Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide effective technical and commercial support.
- Resolve customer concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline updates in the sales funnel/CRM.
- Gather customer feedback and collaborate with internal teams to improve products and services.
Required QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
- Instrumentation & Control Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- MBA will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in the sales of:
- Process Instrumentation
- Automation Solutions
- Electrical & Electronics Products
- Related industrial products
Required SkillsTechnical & Sales Skills
- Strong understanding of industrial instrumentation and automation solutions.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and successfully close deals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
