Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible and experienced Ambulance Driver to join our healthcare team. The candidate will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from hospitals, clinics, and emergency locations while ensuring patient safety and vehicle readiness at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an ambulance driver or in a similar emergency transport role.
- Valid driver's license with authorization to operate ambulance vehicles.
- Good knowledge of local roads, routes, and traffic regulations.
- Ability to remain calm and drive safely during emergency situations.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and patient handling is preferred.
- Physically fit and able to assist medical staff when required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the ambulance safely and efficiently to emergency and non-emergency destinations.
- Ensure the ambulance is clean, fueled, and maintained in proper working condition.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Assist paramedics and medical staff with patient loading and unloading when necessary.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and organizational procedures.
- Maintain accurate trip logs, vehicle records, and related documentation.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and transport requests.
- Ensure all medical equipment in the vehicle is secure during transport.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Experience working in hospitals, emergency medical services, or healthcare transport.
