- Organize and supervise all staff of housekeeping department for round the clock availability in the hospital.
- Will assign HK workers their duties and then supervise their work.
- He will ensure that one housekeeping does not leave their work without next person taking charge.
- Assigning duties to all the HK Staffs.
- He will maintain the attendance register, leave register, overtime sheets and deployment registers.
- He will supervise the general cleanliness of the hospital.
- To ensure high standards of cleaning, hygiene in the hospital premises.
- He will take frequent rounds of the premises.
- He will ensure supply of clean linin in the wards by exchanging soiled with fresh ones.
- He will attend patient calls regarding housekeeping promptly and efficiently.
- He should investigate any complaints regarding housekeeping services.
- He will keep a constant watch on toilets rooms for its cleanliness.
- He will report any upward incident to seniors.
- He will keep a record of the receipts and issues.
- He will indent, receive and keep inventory of cleaning materials.
- He will keep consumption register updated.
- He will ensure that staff follows policies and safety standards.
- He will ensure that HK Staffs wears protective gears while performing a job.
- He will ensure indenting and proper use of housekeeping equipment’s and supplies.
- He will develop and implement policies and procedures for this department.
- To ensure that checklist for toilets, rooms for its cleanliness.
- He should make recommendations to make improvements.
- He should ensure the safe transportation of all waste including biomedical waste.
- May be required to attend Staff meetings of his concern.
- Will arrange code orange boxes on each floor as per NABH.
