About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant to join our Audit & Advisory practice as an Audit Manager. The role involves independently leading audit engagements for banks, and corporate clients, managing audit teams, engaging with senior client management, and ensuring timely completion and closure of audit assignments. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality audit reports with practical recommendations to strengthen governance, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently lead and manage internal audits, statutory audits, bank audits, and other assurance engagements from planning through report closure.
- Lead, mentor, and review audit teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and timely delivery.
- Review financial records, internal controls, business processes, and compliance with statutory, regulatory, and taxation requirements.
- Discuss audit findings with client management, resolve audit issues, and finalize high-quality audit reports.
- Build strong client relationships and ensure exceptional professional service.
- Travel to client locations, including outstation assignments, as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (Mandatory)
- 6–10 years of post-qualification experience in internal audit, statutory audit, bank audits, or assurance services.
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple audit engagements, lead teams, and drive report closures.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting, banking operations, corporate laws, direct and indirect taxation, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, report-writing, client management, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, accounting software, and other relevant IT tools.
- Strong leadership skills with a commitment to delivering high-quality audit reports within agreed timelines.
