Key Skills & Responsibilities:
- Lead production database migrations from Heroku Postgres to AWS RDS / Aurora PostgreSQL
- Work with AWS DMS, logical replication, pg_dump/pg_restore, and CDC pipelines
- Ensure near-zero downtime, zero data loss, data integrity, and rollback strategies
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or Jenkins
- Implement database migration tools such as Flyway, Liquibase, Prisma, or migration runners
- Build blue-green, canary, and zero-downtime deployment strategies
- Provision AWS infrastructure using Terraform, OpenTofu, or CloudFormation
- Hands-on experience with RDS, Aurora PostgreSQL, DMS, VPC, IAM, Secrets Manager, RDS Proxy, KMS, and AWS networking
- Perform PostgreSQL performance tuning, query optimization, connection pooling, and capacity planning
- Set up monitoring and observability using CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana
- Design High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions, including Multi-AZ, backups, failovers, and read replicas
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash
Preferred:
- AWS DevOps Engineer Professional or AWS Solutions Architect certification
- Experience with Heroku Private Spaces and Heroku Pipelines
- Experience migrating workloads to ECS, EKS, or Lambda
- Knowledge of distributed tracing and high-throughput database optimizations
Pay: ₹398,598.99 - ₹1,621,620.41 per year
