Job Description:
About the Role:
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Emotional Counselor for our residential/hostel students at Seth M. R. Jaipuria Schools, Banaras (Babatpur Campus). The primary responsibility will be to support the mental health, emotional well-being, and personal development of students living in the school hostel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions to hostel students addressing emotional, personal, and psychological concerns.
- Help students adjust to hostel life, manage stress, anxiety, academic pressure, and interpersonal conflict.
- Conduct wellness workshops and mental health awareness programs for students.
- Work closely with hostel wardens, teachers, and parents (if needed) to ensure a safe and supportive environment for students.
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate records of counselling sessions.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Child Development.
Relevant experience as a School Counselor, Child/Adolescent Counselor, or Hostel Counselor.
Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
Empathy, patience, and ability to deal with sensitive mental health issues.
