Role Overview
We are looking for experienced nurses who are passionate about supporting mothers and newborns during the critical early weeks after birth. This role involves providing hands-on newborn care, supporting mothers with breastfeeding and recovery, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for both mother and baby.
This is a stay-in assignment and may require travel to client homes based on care requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive newborn care and monitoring.
- Support mothers during the postpartum recovery period.
- Assist with breastfeeding, latching, positioning, and basic lactation support.
- Handle all baby-related care including feeding support, hygiene, bathing, diapering, burping, soothing, and sleep routines.
- Monitor newborn well-being and identify concerns requiring medical attention.
- Educate and guide parents on newborn care best practices.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.
Essential Experience
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience.
- Hands-on experience in NICU, Neonatal Care, Maternity, Postnatal, or Pediatric Care.
- Strong experience handling preterm, low-birth-weight, NICU graduates, and medically delicate newborns.
- Experience supporting mothers during the early postpartum period.
- Basic knowledge of lactation support and breastfeeding guidance.
- Experience in home-based newborn care is an added advantage.
Qualifications
- ANM / GNM / B.Sc Nursing.
- Valid nursing registration preferred.
- Ability to independently manage newborn and mother care responsibilities.
