QA Engineer 2
Summary of the Role
You will support quality assurance for airline domain applications by contributing to testing across user interface (UI), application programming interfaces (APIs), and backend systems. You’ll collaborate with different teams to help deliver reliable and consistent releases.
In this role you’ll / Your Main Responsibilities
Design and carry out test scenarios across UI, API, and backend systems to support application quality
Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing across releases
Review business requirements and translate them into test cases to support coverage and validation
Identify, log, and follow up on defects, and work with teams to perform root cause analysis (RCA) and resolution
Contribute to continuous testing practices within Agile (iterative development approach) and DevOps (development and operations collaboration approach) environments
Technical Responsibilities
Develop and carry out automation scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
Perform API (Application Programming Interface) testing using tools such as Postman or REST-based frameworks
Validate data using Structured Query Language (SQL) queries and database testing approaches
Support integration of testing into Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps
Maintain clear and up-to-date test documentation and contribute to improving test processes and quality practices
About the Ideal Candidate
Around 3–6 years of experience in quality assurance (manual and automation testing)
Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect lifecycle
Experience in functional, API, and database testing
Exposure to automation frameworks at a foundational to intermediate level
Experience working in Agile (iterative development approach) environments, with effective communication and collaboration skill
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
Work with product, development, and QA teams to understand requirements and support validation
Share clear updates on testing progress, risks, and defects
Contribute to discussions to improve product quality and delivery timelines
Help ensure alignment between business expectations and testing outcomes
