Education
- M.Tech in Power Electronics (preferred) or Embedded Systems
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and own custom PCB-based motor drivers and control boards for agricultural robots, including power electronics, sensing, and embedded control firmware.
- Develop real-time embedded control algorithms (current, speed, position, torque control) for BLDC/PMSM motors operating under highly variable field loads.
- Lead the electronics team end-to-end, including schematic review, PCB bring-up, firmware architecture, debugging, and mentoring junior engineers.
- Ensure field reliability and safety, addressing EMI/ESD, thermal management, dust and moisture exposure, shock loads, and fault protection strategies.
- Work closely with mechanical and robotics software teams to define system architecture, interfaces, diagnostics, and cost-optimized production designs.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong background in Power Electronics and Embedded Systems
- Hands-on experience with motor control (BLDC / PMSM, PID, FOC fundamentals)
- MCU experience with STM32, TI C2000, NXP, or Microchip
- Solid understanding of MOSFETs, gate drivers, current sensing techniques, and protection circuits
- Comfortable owning both hardware and firmware development
Experience with PCB bring-up, debugging, and field testing
