Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients admitted to the ICU.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
- Perform daily ICU rounds and monitor patient progress.
- Manage medical emergencies, including sepsis, respiratory failure, shock, cardiac emergencies, and multi-organ dysfunction.
- Interpret laboratory investigations, ECGs, imaging, and other diagnostic reports.
- Coordinate patient care with intensivists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other specialists.
- Supervise junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff in patient management.
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation and discharge summaries.
- Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and prognosis.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control measures, patient safety standards, and accreditation guidelines.
- Be available for emergency duties and on-call responsibilities as per the departmental roster.
