We provide patient-centred treatment in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment and are seeking a skilled, compassionate Physiotherapist to join our team and help patients recover function, reduce pain, and return to daily activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical condition through history-taking, clinical tests, and functional assessment; document findings clearly.
- Develop individualized physiotherapy treatment plans based on physician referrals, clinical findings, and patient goals.
- Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy treatments including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy (TENS/IFC/ultrasound), mobilization, gait training, and post-operative rehabilitation.
- Provide pre- and post-operative rehabilitation for orthopaedic patients (fractures, joint replacements, ligament repairs, etc.).
- Monitor patient progress, modify treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate treatment records and outcome measures.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, ergonomics, injury prevention, and home-programs to support recovery.
- Work closely with orthopaedic surgeons, nurses, X-ray and other allied staff to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain and sterilize physiotherapy equipment; ensure treatment areas are safe and well-stocked.
- Participate in departmental meetings, case discussions, and continuing education activities.
- Adhere to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and infection control/radiation safety guidelines as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) or Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
- Registered/licensed Physiotherapist (as applicable).
- Proven experience as a Physiotherapist, preferably with exposure to orthopaedic or post-operative rehabilitation settings.
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal assessment, rehabilitation protocols and electrotherapy modalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate patients and work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Good record-keeping and time-management skills; attention to detail.
Preferred / Desirable
- Experience working in an orthopaedic hospital or clinic.
- Additional certifications in manual therapy, sports physiotherapy, or neuro-rehabilitation.
- Familiarity with outcome measurement tools and basic computerized patient record systems.
