We are hiring an experienced Poultry Farm Manager to take end-to-end responsibility for farm operations, flock productivity, and team leadership. You will drive performance metrics, ensure compliance with veterinary and safety protocols, and optimize production efficiency across the unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and oversee all poultry farm operations including brooding, rearing, laying/broiler cycles
- Lead and train farm supervisors and workers; set KPIs and monitor daily performance
- Implement and monitor flock health programs: vaccination schedules, disease prevention, and treatment in coordination with veterinarians
- Ensure strict biosecurity, hygiene, and animal welfare standards per industry guidelines
- Manage feed formulation, inventory, procurement, and cost control to optimize FCR and mortality rates
- Maintain detailed records of production, mortality, feed consumption, egg weights, and hatching data
- Oversee maintenance of sheds, equipment, and automated systems
- Liaise with sales, hatchery, and processing teams to align production with market demand
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, PCB, and local animal husbandry regulations
- Prepare monthly production reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: B.Tech in Veterinary Science OR B.Sc in Veterinary Science – Mandatory
- Transportation: Must own a two-wheeler with valid driving license – Required for mobility between farm sites and local vendor visits
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in commercial poultry farm management preferred
- Strong knowledge of poultry nutrition, disease management, and biosecurity protocols
- Proven leadership and manpower management skills
- Proficiency in farm record-keeping and basic MS Excel/ERP reporting
- Ability to work in farm/rural environments and handle operational emergencies
