About the role
Skyfer Logistic is seeking an experienced Air Export Pricing Specialist to join our YYZ Team. The role is responsible for managing air freight pricing activities, sourcing competitive rates, preparing customer quotations, and working closely with airlines, overseas agents, and internal stakeholders to deliver timely and cost-effective logistics solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in air export pricing, excellent commercial awareness, and experience working across global trade lanes.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure and negotiate competitive air freight rates with airlines and logistics partners.
- Prepare accurate, timely, and profitable quotations for customers, sales teams, and overseas offices.
- Coordinate with airlines, agents, carriers, and internal teams to secure pricing and capacity solutions.
- Analyze freight costs, market trends, and carrier options to develop competitive pricing strategies.
- Respond to RFQs, spot quotations, tenders, and customer pricing requests within agreed timelines.
- Maintain and update rate databases, pricing records, and carrier information.
- Support sales and business development teams with pricing intelligence and market insights.
- Monitor airline tariffs, surcharges, and market developments impacting air freight pricing.
- Ensure compliance with company processes and customer requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, overseas agents, and logistics partners.
Required Qualifications
- 3-4 years of experience in Air Export Pricing within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of global air freight trade lanes, airline networks, and pricing structures.
- Experience in rate procurement, quotation management, and freight cost analysis.
- Good understanding of international air cargo and export logistics processes.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and freight forwarding systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work night shifts aligned with Canadian business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting North American or Canadian customers.
- Familiarity with airline contracts, carrier routing, and cargo capacity management.
- Experience handling strategic or key-account pricing requirements.
