Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Lawyer to join our growing in-house legal team. In this role, you will serve as a key legal advisor, ensuring that all company transactions, policies, and operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will mitigate legal risks, draft and negotiate commercial contracts, and provide strategic counsel to executive leadership to safeguard our business interests and foster organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of corporate and commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), service agreements, and client partnerships.
- Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure company operations adhere to industry-specific regulations, labor laws, corporate governance protocols, and data privacy standards.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential legal risks and liabilities across business operations and proactively develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Corporate Governance: Assist in preparing corporate resolutions, board meeting materials, and maintaining corporate records.
- Litigation & Dispute Management: Manage and oversee ongoing legal disputes. Liaise with external counsel and handle coordination for litigation or arbitration matters if they arise.
- Internal Advisory: Provide clear, actionable, and timely legal advice to internal departments (HR, Sales, Finance, Product) regarding day-to-day corporate issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Laws (LLB / BA.LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensure: Active license to practice law and in good standing with the local state Bar Council or relevant regulatory authority.
- Experience: [X]+ years of experience practicing corporate law, either within a reputable law firm or as an in-house legal counsel.
- Contract Expertise: Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills with a proven track record of handling complex commercial transactions.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail and analytical acumen.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal jargon into practical business advice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Laws (LLM) in Corporate or Commercial Law.
Pay: ₹13,508.68 - ₹50,259.41 per month
