Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Hardware Support Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware, peripherals, and networking equipment. The ideal candidate will provide technical support to end-users, ensure smooth IT operations, and maintain hardware assets across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine system checks.
- Replace faulty hardware components such as RAM, HDD/SSD, motherboards, power supplies, and peripherals.
- Provide onsite and remote technical support to users.
- Install and configure operating systems, drivers, and software applications.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and update hardware records.
- Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity, Wi-Fi networks, and basic network devices.
- Coordinate with vendors for warranty claims, repairs, and hardware procurement.
- Ensure data backup procedures and security compliance are followed.
- Document support activities, service reports, and issue resolutions.
- Assist in IT infrastructure upgrades and deployment projects.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI / Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in IT hardware support (Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also apply).
- Knowledge of computer hardware assembly and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, routers, switches, and internet connectivity.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
