Job Summary:
As a Design Consultant at Patterns Furnishing, you will be the face of our premium home decor brand. You will bridge the gap between our clients’ structural layouts and their aesthetic goals. Your role involves guiding walkthrough clients, architects, and premium residential or commercial customers through our vast catalog of high-end fabrics, custom curtains, blinds, automation solutions, wall coverings, and bespoke upholstery to create inspiring spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Consultation & Acquisition: Engage with walk-in showroom clients and online inquiries to understand their layout, aesthetic preferences, and furnishing requirements.
- Design & Product Curation: Provide expert guidance on color palettes, textures, and fabric choices. Recommend optimal design solutions spanning custom curtains, smart/automated blinds, wallpapers, bespoke sofas, rugs, and flooring.
- Site Inspections & Measurement Visits: Visit clients' residential or commercial spaces to assess project needs, take precise technical measurements, and ensure selected designs fit flawlessly.
- Project Estimations: Collaborate with internal teams to generate accurate quotes, price estimates, and delivery timelines based on chosen materials and customized measurements.
- B2B Networking: Collaborate with architects, builders, and independent interior designers to fulfill their project-specific soft furnishing demands.
- End-to-End Order Management: Oversee the order fulfillment pipeline, maintaining regular communication with clients from the design conceptualization stage up to final installation and feedback collection.
- Showroom Upkeep: Ensure the showroom presentation is immaculate, and stay completely up-to-date with emerging textile and home automation trends.
Key Requirements & Skills
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Textile Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in interior design, luxury retail, or soft furnishing consultation. (Fresher candidates with an exceptional portfolio and strong spatial design awareness may also be considered).
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with soft furnishings (types of pleats, curtain tracks, fabric behaviors) and basic knowledge of home automation/smart curtain setups is highly preferred.
- Design Tools: Proficiency in CAD software, SketchUp, Photoshop, or basic mood board creation tools is an advantage.
- Soft Skills: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, an eye for color and pattern coordination, patience with client handling, and a target-driven mindset.
