Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Audit Executive to monitor, review and audit ongoing electrical projects. The ideal candidate will ensure project activities comply with company policies, approved budgets, timelines, quality standards and contractual requirements while identifying risks and recommending improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audits of ongoing and completed projects to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Review project documentation, including BOQs, work orders, purchase orders, invoices and site records.
- Verify project costs, material consumption, labour expenses and billing accuracy.
- Monitor project progress against approved budgets and timelines.
- Identify deviations, discrepancies, and potential financial or operational risks.
- Prepare audit reports with observations, recommendations and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Project, Accounts, Purchase and Site teams to resolve audit findings.
- Ensure proper documentation and record maintenance for all audit activities.
- Assist management in improving internal controls and project processes.
- Support internal and external audits by providing project-related information and documents.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of project auditing, documentation and compliance.
- Good understanding of project costing and budgeting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/Tally software.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Engineering, Finance or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in project audit, internal audit, project accounts or project coordination.
- Experience in the electrical, EPC or construction industry is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of project billing, BOQs and contract documentation.
- Familiarity with GST and basic accounting principles.
- Experience with ERP systems and project management software.
