We are seeking an experienced Jewelry CAD Designer who is an absolute expert in Matrix 9 and specializes in creating high-end diamond jewelry. In this role, you will be responsible for translating sketches and design concepts into technically flawless 3D models ready for manufacturing. Beyond modeling, you will use KeyShot to produce photorealistic images and high-quality video animations of your designs for marketing and client approval.
Key Responsibilities
- Create precise, detailed, and highly aesthetic 3D CAD models for fine diamond jewelry (rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets) using Matrix 9.
- Ensure all CAD files are perfectly engineered for manufacturing, accounting for metal shrinkage and stone setting tolerances (prong, pavé, channel, bezel).
- Export models to KeyShot to generate stunning, photorealistic rendering images and 360-degree video animations for e-commerce, social media, and client presentations.
- Prepare and repair STL/3DM files for RPT and casting.
- Work closely with the creative director, jewelry designers, and production team to revise designs based on feedback and manufacturing constraints.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience specifically in fine jewelry CAD design.
- Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Matrix 9 is strictly required.
- Diamond Jewelry Expertise: A deep understanding of diamond jewelry aesthetics, proportions, and structural integrity. You must know how to lay out stones perfectly and build secure, beautiful settings.
- Rendering Pro: Proven experience using KeyShot. You must know how to manipulate lighting, materials, and camera angles to create breathtaking diamond and metal renders (both still and video).
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Strong grasp of jewelry manufacturing process (casting, setting, polishing) to ensure your designs are actually buildable in the real world.
