Job Purpose
The Solar Technician will be responsible for the operation, routine maintenance, cleaning, inspection, and basic troubleshooting of solar power plants to ensure maximum energy generation, plant reliability, and safe working conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled cleaning of solar PV modules using approved methods and equipment.
- Carry out routine inspection and preventive maintenance of solar PV systems.
- Assist in maintenance of inverters, SCBs, ACDB/DCDB, transformers, HT/LT panels, cables, earthing, and other electrical equipment.
- Identify and report faults, damages, hotspots, loose connections, and generation abnormalities to the Site Supervisor.
- Monitor plant performance and support corrective and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Ensure proper housekeeping of the plant, control room, and surrounding areas.
- Maintain daily work records, cleaning logs, and maintenance checklists.
- Follow all electrical safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company HSE guidelines.
- Handle tools, equipment, and company assets responsibly.
- Perform any other maintenance or operational duties assigned by the Site Supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience
- ITI (Electrician/Wireman/Fitter) or 10th/12th Pass with relevant experience.
- 0–3 years of experience in solar plant maintenance, electrical maintenance, or industrial maintenance.
- Freshers with a technical background and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in solar module cleaning and field maintenance will be preferred.
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and solar PV plants.
- Ability to use hand tools and electrical testing instruments.
- Physically fit to work outdoors and perform manual cleaning activities.
- Basic communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Valid two-wheeler driving licence will be an added advantage.
Salary & Benefits
- In-Hand Salary: ₹9,000 – ₹12,000 per month (based on interview, experience, and technical skills).
