Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Laser Machine Operator to operate CNC laser cutting machines for sheet metal fabrication. The candidate should have experience in machine setup, program execution, quality inspection, basic troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance while ensuring safety and production targets are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC laser cutting machines for cutting sheet metal components.
- Set up the machine, load materials, and adjust machine parameters based on production drawings.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and cutting programs.
- Perform machine calibration and ensure accurate cutting dimensions.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments during production.
- Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final quality inspections using measuring instruments.
- Identify and resolve basic machine issues and report major breakdowns to the maintenance team.
- Perform routine cleaning, preventive maintenance, and daily machine checks.
- Optimize material utilization and minimize scrap.
- Follow production schedules to meet daily output targets.
- Maintain production records and machine operation logs.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and 5S practices.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams for smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Experience operating CNC Laser Cutting Machines (Fiber Laser/CO₂ Laser).
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of machine setup, tooling, and parameter adjustments.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, and Height Gauges.
- Basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance knowledge.
- Understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Awareness of workplace safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience operating laser cutting machines in a manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication industry.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with laser machine brands such as Bystronic, Trumpf, Amada, Bodor, Han's Laser, or similar.
- Experience in sheet metal panel manufacturing, electrical enclosure manufacturing, or fabrication industries.
- Familiarity with nesting software and CNC programming is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹11,877.90 - ₹57,560.72 per month
