Position Title: Civil Quality Engineer
Degree with 8 years....however, will try for Diploma 10 years + also
The contractor is requested for Site inspection services including Assessment, Monitoring, Bill certification, Reviewing,MIS
preparation, preparation of ITP/FQP and reporting on various construction activities as instructed by UAIL Engineer In charge.
This service includes any other activity as decided for monitoring quality of incoming material inspection, quality inspection
of construction activities and testing, as per respective code/best industrial practices.
Inspection will be at Utkal Township premises.
The inspections shall be performed by competent and appropriate qualified inspectors as required based on the type of
activity and assigned task. Each new inspector’s CV shall be presented to UAIL for review and acceptance prior to any
initial assignment.
The requested services include the following but it is not limited to it:
Ensure on the Job supervision and to ensure Safety and Quality.
Review of drawing release schedule and prioritizing the drawing schedule based on engineering and site progress
requirement. Ensuring availability of Latest revision of construction Documents for construction.
Preparation of overall Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA / QC) System for the all functions during various
phases of the Project, (i.e., Construction, Pre-Commissioning and Test runs, etc).
Inspection & Quality control of the work performed by the contractor for Civil & Structural works Etc
Carry out Technical Audits from time to time to verify that work is performed as per Quality assurance Plan
Checking of RA bills and Payment Advice to owner based on progress measurement of all the function,
i.e., Civil, Structure Etc.
Study of general and technical specifications of construction drawings.
16) Conduct weekly and monthly review meetings with Contractors.
Contractor will monitor the various construction activities, as per contract specifications, quality criteria,
within the agreed time schedule.
Check all civil and structural drawings, bar bending schedules and all details during construction.
Declaration & Certification of civil work and others and conduct overall completion and handover process.
Preparing and updating QA/QC report for the entire project on a regular basis identifying areas for corrective
action by concerned agencies and advise the same to the party to rectify if any issues found
to meet the quality standards.

5.2 Ensure that personnel are fully competent and qualified for the assigned task and have in place a system, acceptable
to UAIL, for internal training, competency assessment and internal qualification of inspectors assigned to requested tasks.
This system has to be traceable and ensure a continuous verification of competence of assigned inspectors
including periodic monitoring.
