The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing industrial refrigeration projects from order receipt to successful commissioning. The role involves technical coordination, project scheduling, procurement follow-up, site supervision, client communication, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review customer purchase orders, technical specifications, and project requirements.
- Prepare project schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely execution.
- Coordinate with the design, production, procurement, and service teams.
- Plan material requirements and follow up on procurement and deliveries.
- Conduct site visits to monitor installation progress and resolve technical issues.
- Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Prepare project documentation,commissioning reports, and completion documents.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related discipline.
- 0–4 years of experience in Industrial Refrigeration, HVAC, Cold Storage, or Process Cooling projects.
- Experience in Freon, ammonia (NH₃), glycol, or CO₂ refrigeration systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial refrigeration equipment, compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, and control systems.
Technical Skills:
- Project planning and execution.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and P&ID diagrams.
- Knowledge of refrigeration system design and installation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of project documentation and reporting.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Leadership and team coordination skills.
Working Conditions:
- Frequent travel to customer sites for project execution and commissioning.
- Ability to work at industrial plants, cold storage facilities, food processing plants, and manufacturing units.
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
