Job Title: Safety Officer

Role Purpose
The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring safety practices across HVAC project and service sites, ensuring compliance with company safety procedures and statutory requirements. The role should support safe execution of installation, maintenance, retrofit, and related HVAC activities at client locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site safety inspections for HVAC installation, maintenance, and project activities.
- Ensure compliance with EHS policies, permit systems, PPE usage, and safe work practices at all work locations.
- Identify hazards related to ducting, piping, equipment handling, electrical work, work at height, and confined space activities.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions for technicians, supervisors, and subcontract workers.
- Maintain records of safety observations, incident reports, near-miss reports, inspection reports, and corrective actions.
- Monitor fire safety arrangements, emergency preparedness, and safe material handling practices at site.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and supervisors to close unsafe conditions and improve compliance.
- Ensure implementation of lockout/tagout practices and other precautions during equipment servicing and maintenance work.
- Support statutory and client safety compliance requirements at project sites.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Safety, or related field.
- Safety certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent will be preferred.
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in safety operations, preferably in HVAC, MEP, engineering projects, or construction-related environments.
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and common site safety hazards.
- Knowledge of PPE compliance, risk assessment, work permits, and incident reporting.
- Good communication, observation, documentation, and coordination skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office for reporting and record maintenance.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
