Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Execution: Design, write, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using industry-standard project management tools.
- Automation Integration: Develop, maintain, and expand automated test suites to optimize regression testing pipelines.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Software Developers, Product Managers, and Business Analysts throughout the agile software development lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure alignment on product requirements.
- Quality Advocacy: Establish performance benchmarks, conduct root-cause analysis on recurring issues, and champion quality standards across the development ecosystem.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Professional Background: A minimum of 2 to 5 years of progressive experience in software quality assurance, functional testing, or systems analysis.
- Technical Proficiency: Proven expertise with automated testing frameworks (such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright) and API testing methodologies (Postman or SoapUI).
- Defect Tracking Expertise: Deep familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous integration tools (such as Jira, Git, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps).
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving capabilities with a meticulous eye for detail, edge cases, and user experience workflows.
- Communication Mastery: Exceptional articulation skills, with the ability to clearly translate complex technical defects into actionable developer feedback.
- Educational Alignment: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
