Job Title: Senior Manager – Contracts & Procurement (Civil)
Qualification: BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
Job Summary:
The Manager – Contracts & Procurement (Civil) will be responsible for managing end-to-end contract administration and procurement activities for civil construction projects. The role involves vendor management, contract finalization, cost control, compliance, and ensuring timely procurement of materials and services in line with Residential project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Contracts Management:
- Prepare, review, negotiate, and finalize civil contracts, subcontracts, work orders, and purchase agreements.
- Ensure contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and project specifications.
- Manage contract administration including amendments, variations, claims, and dispute resolution.
- Coordinate with legal, finance, and project teams for contract approvals and risk mitigation.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to contractual terms and timelines.
Procurement Management:
- Plan and execute procurement strategies for civil works, materials, equipment, and services.
- Identify, evaluate, and empanel vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Lead tendering processes including RFQs/RFPs, techno-commercial evaluations, and negotiations.
- Ensure timely availability of materials and services to support project schedules.
- Achieve cost optimization while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
Cost & Compliance:
- Track procurement budgets and ensure cost control across projects.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, contractual, and internal audit requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation for contracts, procurement, and vendor records.
- Support project teams in cost estimation, BOQs, and rate analysis.
Coordination & Reporting:
- Work closely with project, planning, engineering, and finance teams.
- Prepare MIS reports related to contracts, procurement status, savings, and risks.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
Experience:
- 10–12 years of relevant experience in contracts and procurement for civil construction projects.
- Experience in commercial & residential most preferred.
- Strong exposure to tendering, rate analysis, and contract negotiation.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering materials, construction methods, and BOQs.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and contract drafting skills.
- Good understanding of FIDIC/standard contract conditions (preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/SAP or other procurement systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects
