Job Requirements-
Knowledge in LVM concepts ( VG, PVs, File system)
Knowledge in NIM install/upgrade/migration and configuration
Knowledge in OS/TL/SP version migration / upgrade / patching activities
Knowledge in HACMP cluster configuration / troubleshoot
Knowledge in IBM Hardware / Firmware upgrade
IBM VIOs upgrade / NIPV Mappings / HMC Upgrade and Management
AIX IAM activities / Performance monitoring and trouble shooting.
Knowledge on error log troubleshooting and diagnosis
Knowledge in Operating system install and configuration
Key Responsibilities-
System Architecture & Design: Architect and implement scalable AIX system solutions aligned with business technical requirements.
Advanced Troubleshooting: Act as the final point of escalation for complex hardware and software issues (Level 3 support).
Virtualization Management: Manage and optimize PowerVM, LPARs, VIO servers, and HMC environments.
High Availability: Configure and maintain clustering technologies such as PowerHA (HACMP) for mission-critical applications.
Performance Tuning: Conduct deep-dive performance analysis and kernel tuning to resolve bottlenecks.
Security & Compliance: Enforce system security sta ndards, manage patches, and ensure audit compliance across all AIX nodes.
Automation: Develop advanced shell scripts (KornShell, Bash) or use tools like Ansible to automate routine administration and deployment tasks
Disaster Recovery: Lead the design and periodic testing of Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity plans.
