Job Summary
Roots Country School is seeking a passionate, energetic, and dedicated Dance Teacher to inspire students through the art of dance. The ideal candidate should be skilled in teaching various dance forms, possess strong choreography and performance management abilities, and contribute to the holistic development of students through cultural and co-curricular activities.
As a residential boarding school, we are looking for an educator who can actively engage with students beyond the classroom, mentor young performers, and play a key role in school events, competitions, and productions.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons for students across different age groups.
- Teach one or more dance forms such as Classical, Contemporary, Folk, Bollywood, Western, Hip-Hop, Jazz, or Creative Dance.
- Develop students' rhythm, coordination, flexibility, confidence, stage presence, and performance skills.
- Choreograph performances for annual functions, cultural events, assemblies, competitions, and special school programs.
- Prepare students for inter-school, district, state, and national-level competitions.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Maintain discipline and ensure a safe learning environment during practice sessions.
- Organize rehearsals and manage costumes, props, and performance logistics when required.
- Collaborate with other faculty members for multidisciplinary cultural programs and events.
- Contribute to the boarding school's co-curricular and residential life activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Dance, Performing Arts, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Professional certification or specialized training in any recognized dance form will be preferred.
- Master's Degree in Performing Arts will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching or professional dance experience.
- Experience in a residential/boarding school environment will be preferred.
- Proven experience in choreography, stage performances, and event management.
- Experience preparing students for competitions and public performances is desirable.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
