The Packaging & Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for supervising the packaging, storage, and dispatch of milk and dairy products. The role ensures that products are packed according to quality standards, dispatched accurately and on time, and handled in compliance with food safety, hygiene, and cold chain requirements.
Key Responsibilities Packaging Operations
- Supervise daily packaging activities for milk and dairy products.
- Ensure packaging is carried out according to approved specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Verify the availability of packaging materials before production.
- Monitor packaging quality, product coding, labeling, and sealing.
- Minimize packaging losses and product wastage.
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the packaging area.
Dispatch Operations
- Plan and supervise daily dispatch schedules.
- Verify product quantity, batch numbers, expiry dates, and dispatch documentation before loading.
- Coordinate vehicle loading and unloading activities.
- Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles are followed.
- Maintain cold chain requirements during storage and transportation.
- Coordinate with transporters, warehouse staff, and sales teams for timely deliveries.
Inventory & Documentation
- Maintain packaging and dispatch records.
- Monitor stock of finished goods and packaging materials.
- Prepare daily dispatch reports, stock reports, and inventory reconciliation.
- Ensure accurate documentation including invoices, delivery challans, and dispatch registers.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000, and food safety standards.
- Report damaged products, packaging defects, or dispatch discrepancies immediately.
- Support internal and external quality audits.
- Ensure workplace safety and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Team Management
- Supervise packaging operators, warehouse assistants, and loading staff.
- Allocate daily work and monitor team performance.
- Train employees on SOPs, hygiene, safety, and packaging procedures.
- Maintain discipline and productivity within the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Dairy Technology, Food Technology, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in packaging, warehouse, or dispatch operations in a dairy or food manufacturing company.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of dairy packaging processes and cold chain management.
- Understanding of GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000, and food safety standards.
- Inventory and warehouse management skills.
- Leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
