Job Title: Junior Interior Designer – Commercial (Studio Role)
Job Description:
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Interior Designer – Commercial to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about design, visual storytelling, and concept development. You will work closely with senior designers to translate client briefs into innovative, functional, and aesthetically compelling commercial spaces, while also supporting basic cost estimation and BOQ preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in understanding client briefs, brand requirements, and project objectives.
- Support in developing creative design concepts, themes, and narratives.
- Create mood boards, material palettes, and visual presentations.
- Develop space planning layouts and design options under guidance.
- Produce 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering tools.
- Prepare high-quality presentations including renders and walkthrough concepts.
- Assist in preparing basic BOQs (Bill of Quantities) based on design drawings.
- Support in quantity take-offs, material specifications, and preliminary cost estimates.
- Coordinate with vendors for material inputs and pricing where required.
- Research design trends, materials, finishes, and innovative solutions for commercial spaces.
- Collaborate with senior designers to refine concepts and ensure design consistency.
- Assist in design documentation and presentation decks for client meetings.
- Work closely with the team to ensure timely delivery of design outputs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience (internships with exposure to design + BOQ preferred).
- Basic understanding of BOQ preparation and quantity estimation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, Lumion, or similar visualization tools.
- Strong design sensibility with a good eye for color, materials, and composition.
- A portfolio demonstrating creativity, conceptual thinking, and presentation skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to articulate design ideas.
- Eagerness to learn, experiment, and grow in a collaborative studio environment.
Pay: ₹11,477.43 - ₹25,000.00 per month
