1. Job Purpose
To support the Accounts & Finance Department in day-to-day accounting activities, financial record maintenance, reconciliations, statutory compliance support, and preparation of reports while ensuring accuracy and timely completion of assigned work.
2. Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions in Tally/ERP.
- Record purchase, sales, receipt, payment, journal and contra entries.
- Verify bills, invoices, vouchers and supporting documents.
- Maintain proper books of accounts and accounting records.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Bank & Ledger Reconciliation
- Prepare and maintain Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
- Reconcile customer and vendor ledgers.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables.
GST & TDS
- Assist in preparation of GST-related data and reconciliations.
- Assist with GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciliation.
- Verify GST invoices and supporting documents.
- Assist in TDS calculation, records and related compliance activities.
- Maintain proper GST and TDS documentation.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Check and process vendor bills as per company procedures.
- Maintain vendor and customer outstanding statements.
- Assist in payment processing and follow-up for required approvals.
- Coordinate with internal departments regarding pending bills and documents.
MIS & Reporting
- Prepare basic accounting and financial reports.
- Assist in preparation of monthly MIS.
- Maintain accounting data and reports in MS Excel.
- Provide required financial information to the reporting manager.
Audit & Documentation
- Assist in statutory and internal audit activities.
- Provide required documents and schedules to auditors.
- Maintain proper filing of invoices, vouchers, ledgers and other financial records.
- Ensure confidentiality of financial information.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Project, HR and other departments for accounts-related requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors/customers regarding accounts and payment-related queries.
- Perform other accounting duties assigned by the reporting manager.
