Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, process payments and receipts, and support statutory compliance and financial reporting.
The candidate should have a good understanding of accounting principles, GST, TDS, bank reconciliation, invoicing, and accounting software such as Tallyf.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain day-to-day accounting entries, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
Prepare and issue customer invoices and maintain proper supporting documentation.
Record and verify vendor invoices and coordinate payment processing.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Follow up with customers for outstanding payments and maintain ageing reports.
Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
Maintain petty cash records and verify employee expense claims.
Assist in GST calculation, reconciliation, and return filing.
Assist in TDS calculation, deduction, payment, and return filing.
Maintain vendor, customer, and general ledger accounts.
Reconcile GSTR-2B with purchase records and identify discrepancies.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
Prepare MIS reports, expense statements, cash-flow reports, and other financial reports.
Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, vendors, and internal departments.
Maintain proper filing of invoices, vouchers, receipts, agreements, and statutory documents.
Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and applicable statutory requirements.
Assist in payroll processing and employee reimbursement accounting, when required.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles.
Working knowledge of GST, TDS, invoicing, and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in Tally Prime, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, filters, pivot tables, and reconciliation.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance operations.
Experience working with CA firms, SMEs, construction companies, software companies, or professional-service firms will be an advantage.
Knowledge of payroll, PF, ESI, professional tax, and other statutory requirements is preferred.
