We are seeking a dynamic and technically-minded Sales and Marketing Specialist to drive business growth for our powder coatings manufacturing division. In this role, you will be responsible for expanding our market share across industrial sectors (e.g., automotive, architectural, appliances, and general engineering). You will design marketing strategies that position our high-performance coatings as the premium choice for industrial coaters, while actively managing regional sales pipelines, conducting product demonstrations, and closing technical B2B sales.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development (60%):
- B2B Client Acquisition: Identify, approach, and close deals with job coaters, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and metal fabricators.
- Technical Consultation: Assess client finishing lines (cure ovens, spray booths) to recommend the right powder chemistry (epoxy, polyester, hybrid).
- Product Demonstrations: Coordinate with the technical team to run line trials and testing for prospective clients.
- Account Retention: Manage existing distributor and client accounts, ensuring consistent repeat orders and addressing quality feedback.
- CRM Tracking: Maintain accurate data on client production volumes, color preferences, and contract renewal timelines.
Marketing & Lead Generation (30%):
- Targeted B2B Campaigns: Design digital and print marketing materials showcasing product benefits like chemical resistance, durability, and eco-friendliness.
- Trade Shows & Events: Coordinate company participation in regional industrial trade shows and manufacturing expos.
- Sample Kit Strategy: Create and distribute premium shade cards, sample panels, and product catalogs to architects and specifiers.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor pricing, identify emerging color/texture trends, and spot new application sectors.
Strategic Coordination (10%):
- R&D Feedback Loop: Relay client color-matching and performance requirements back to the laboratory and production teams.
- Sales Forecasting: Provide quarterly demand forecasts to help the factory optimize manufacturing schedules and raw material procurement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Business, or Marketing.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of sales/marketing experience, specifically within industrial coatings, paints, chemicals, or surface finishing industries.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of powder coating chemistry, application equipment (corona/tribo guns), and curing processes.
- Communication: Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to speak effectively to both purchasing managers and line sprayers.
- Mobility: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 70% of the time to visit client manufacturing facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing network of contacts among regional industrial coaters or metal fabricators.
- Familiarity with international testing standards (e.g., Qualicoat, AAMA, ASTM corrosion resistance testing).
- Experience using CRM platforms (like Salesforce or HubSpot) to manage industrial accounts.
