We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Analyst with strong expertise in IBM Mainframe, Teradata, and SQL testing to support quality assurance activities for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, accuracy, performance, and integrity of critical systems through structured testing practices, process improvements, and close collaboration with technical and business teams.
Provide expert-level QA input to complex testing assignments and projects. Plan, design, and execute Quality Assurance testing for new and modified applications across Mainframe and distributed environments. Participate in requirements analysis and contribute to the development and improvement of QA processes and standards. Prepare, review, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical specifications. Conduct QA reviews and develop testing metrics to assess application quality and delivery effectiveness. Support clients and IT teams by resolving QA-related queries, issues, and documentation needs. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and operations teams to identify risks and improve testing efficiency. Assist in designing and implementing QA tools, frameworks, and automation approaches where applicable. Mentor and guide junior QA professionals, sharing best practices and technical knowledge. Work independently with minimal supervision while handling complex testing scenarios. Analyze defect trends, test results, and process gaps to drive continuous quality improvement.
Minimum 6+ years of overall experience in QA and testing. At least 6 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe application development or testing. Strong experience in SQL and Teradata for data validation and reconciliation. Good understanding of QA processes, defect lifecycle, and testing methodologies. Experience in creating Test Plans, Test Scripts, and QA Metrics. Ability to work autonomously as well as in cross-functional teams. High School diploma required; college degree preferred but not mandatory.
