Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Laser Cutting Supervisor to oversee daily operations of our CNC Laser Cutting section. The ideal candidate will manage shop floor activities, ensure quality output, optimize machine efficiency, and lead a team of operators to meet production and delivery targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily CNC laser cutting operations to meet production schedules
- Review engineering drawings and job specifications to plan cutting sequences and material usage
- Monitor machine performance, cutting accuracy, and material wastage; troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime
- Allocate work to operators, monitor productivity, and ensure adherence to safety standards
- Ensure quality checks are performed at each stage as per ISO 9001:2015 standards
- Maintain production records, reports, and documentation for traceability
- Coordinate with planning, quality, and dispatch teams for on-time delivery
- Train and guide machine operators on best practices and safety procedures
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules for laser cutting machines are followed
- Identify areas for process improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma/ITI/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 1 years of hands-on experience in CNC Laser Cutting operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of reading engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Familiarity with CNC laser cutting machines, nesting software, and cutting parameters
- Good understanding of sheet metal properties, tolerances, and cutting techniques
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality standards preferred
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, production software)
