Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Sourcing
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate contracts and commercial terms.
- Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, consumables, spare parts, equipment, and services.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement activities to avoid stock shortages.
Vendor Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Conduct vendor performance evaluations based on quality, cost, and delivery.
- Resolve supplier-related issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Develop alternative supplier sources to reduce procurement risks.
Cost Control & Budget Management
- Achieve annual cost reduction and savings targets.
- Monitor procurement budgets and expenditure.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks.
- Recommend cost-effective procurement solutions.
Contract & Compliance Management
- Review and manage purchase agreements, contracts, and service-level agreements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and procurement procedures.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, finance, stores, and logistics teams.
- Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare procurement reports, supplier performance reports, and cost-saving analyses.
- Present procurement updates to senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant procurement certification is preferred.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Experience in manufacturing, recycling, metal processing, or industrial sectors preferred.
- Proven experience in vendor negotiations and contract management.
